Elaine Kunda - President and Chief Executive Officer

An experienced senior executive with an extensive leadership background and specialized skills involving the Internet, sales, and marketing sectors, Elaine Kunda has held key positions with several leading Canadian companies prior to joining ZipLocal in 2006. For a seven year period starting in 1999, Ms. Kunda held a series of senior executive roles within the Torstar Corporation, including Managing Director of toronto.com and Director of New Media within the company's Business Ventures division. She also worked as Business Development Manager for Grey Interactive, a division of Grey Advertising.

Stephen McDonald - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. McDonald is a financial executive with over thirteen years of progressive experience focused in high technology and public company environments. Mr. McDonald has extensive knowledge and background in financial reporting, developing and implementing internal controls and investor relations.. Prior to his appointment at ZipLocal, Mr. McDonald was the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of Bioscrypt Inc. (TSX: BYT), an enterprise access control solution provider, enabling the unification of physical and logical access with its full suite of products. Prior to that, Mr. McDonald was a Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in their Assurance & Advisory Services Division. Mr. McDonald is a Chartered Accountant.

Aris Zakinthinos - Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Zakinthinos joins ZipLocal with over 15 years of experience in technology development management, as well as significant teaching experience in the same field with the Universities of Toronto, Waterloo and Cambridge University. Dr. Zakinthinos holds an Honours Degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, as well as a Masters in Computer Science and a Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering both from the University of Toronto. Most recently, Dr. Zakinthinos was Vice President Engineering with Vizible Corporation, a private company that placed 6th in 2007 for the prestigious Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award. Here he led the Research & Development department, responsible for the delivery of both the core technology platform and customized software. Previously he took on roles of increasing responsibility at Platform Computing, as a Platform Architect, a Development Manager and then finally as the Director, Software Development, where he led a team of 33 developers responsible for Platform's new software products.

Kyle Murdock - Director, Sales

A seasoned and successful entrepreneur, sales executive and leader, with a strong passion for the online media world, Mr. Murdock is a target oriented individual with a history of meeting and far exceeding individual and team revenue expectations. With over 8 years of Senior Advertising Sales experience together with over 8 years as an independent business owner, Mr. Murdock has achieved Top Sales status with both Toronto.com within his first 6 months and Toshiba Canada. Additionally, Mr. Murdock co-founded and then sold VoicePRO Canada, the first Canadian company to introduce innovative B2C voicemail messaging technology allowing non-intrusive, one-to-one communication with clients/prospects as an alternative to traditional telemarketing or direct mail, particularly as privacy laws were under going so much change in Canada. VoicePRO clients included Premier Fitness, Toronto Blue Jays, CIBC, Town of Markham, Ontario Conservative Party and The Brick. Running a close second to his passion for sales, Mr. Murdock has a passion for The Toronto Maple Leafs and all things hockey. As a volunteer Head Coach for the past 9 years, Mr. Murdock endeavors to develop and hone his hockey (and sales!) skills, passing them both along to up-and-coming sales stars!

Amy Rae - Director, Business Development

Ms. Rae was until recently an Associate with J.L. Albright Venture Partners where she provided due diligence and investment candidate screening for the financing deal that saw the formation in August 2006 of ZipLocal. Prior to that, Ms. Rae was an Analyst with Latitude Partners Inc., where she researched, modeled and evaluated comparables using discounted cash flow analysis, as well as screening technology candidate proposals to evaluate their market potential and forecast their financial feasibility. Detailed financial forecast models have always been a passion of Ms. Rae's, and this afforded her much success during her time with Transcontinental Media Publishing, where she focused her attention on the magazine circulation side of the business. Ms. Rae holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie and her Canadian Securities license. And yet, even with the heavily focused financial expertise and background Ms. Rae is a disciplined and creative addition to the ZipLocal team, where she leverages her deal-making and relationship building skills on a daily basis to attract and broker new partnership deals for ZipLocal. Ms. Rae is an avid long-distance marathon runner and is a keen fan of all things basketball.
